Als ik het achter- achter- achterneefje van mijn MacBook Pro zo weg zie smelten breekt mijn hart. Dat is ook precies wat grafisch designer Michael Tompert en fotograaf Paul Fairchild voor ogen hadden. Mensen moesten maar eens na gaan denken over hun absurde liefdesrelaties die ze met gadgets opbouwen. Verslaafd aan Wordfeud of Angry Birds op je iPhone? Tot op het toilet twitter volgen op je iPad? Niet zonder je iPod de deur uit? Misschien wordt het eens tijd voor een Apple Afkickkliniek, waar we allemaal weer overgaan op de good old Windows. De belangrijkste sessie zal bestaan uit het begraven van dit verre Apple-familielid. Ik speech wel.
A series of smashed, mangled, shot up and melted apple products are the subject of the most recent photography project by a graphic designer who said he's trying to make people think about their relationship with these universally beloved gadgets. This collaboration between Michael Tompert and photographer Paul Fairchild seems tragic, but the destruction creates beautifully burnspots and cracks, that are almost as art. Though, it secretly hurts to see the nephew of my MacBook crushed on the floor. It should get a decent funeral. I'll speech.
