In IKEA-stijl zou er boven elk van deze foto's het aantal vierkante meters boven staan. Keuken: 11 m2. Woonkamer: de 4 m2 boven het keukenblok. Hoewel Charlotte Rust een behoorlijk penthouse bezit maakt ze op een soort studentikoze manier gebruik van de ruimte. Het meest briljante voorbeeld vind ik het laddertje naar het halve verdiepinkje boven de keuken. Er mist alleen nog maar een ophaalsysteem, waardoor een pot thee met een katrolletje zo naar boven kan worden gehesen. Rommel lijkt hier wel design. Hoekjes in de woonkamer lijken wel een museum. The Selby is in your place heeft dit rauwe betonnen blok op een fantastische manier gefotografeerd. Dit interieur is al tijden mijn favoriet van de site en een fantastische inspiratiebron voor mijn toekomstige studentenkamertje!
The Selby is in your place shot Charlotte Rust. She didn't pass away, no, her interior got photographed in every angle you could possibly imagine. I honestly feel with you if you can't stand the design, it is sort of rough and unshaped. On the other hand, I love it, exact for that reasons. What about the sitting(/sleeping?) area above the kitchen? Isn't that a great idea for living on 11 square meters? It reminds me of the Swedish designgiant IKEA, who sees it as a challenge to arrange perfect design in the smallest rooms. Great inspiration for your student accommodation!

Ik ben onder andere verantwoordelijk voor het bijhouden van een blog op meerdere commerciële cashback netwerken. Natuurlijk wordt FreshFix niet verwaarloosd, maar met 32 uur per week naar een beeldscherm staren grijp ik in mijn vrije tijd toch minder snel naar mijn MacBookje! Gelukkig kan ik jullie ervan verzekeren dat er elke dag minstens één post op het blog verschijnt. Ik moet die muisarm toch zo goed mogelijk laten ontwikkelen...!
You guys might have noticed the shortage of blogposts last week. No wonder, I've found a new job and I am official part of the 'working class' since last Monday! I am partly responsible for writing a blog on a commercial cashback network. Naturally, I won't neglect FreshFix, but with 32 hours a week watching my computerscreen for work, I might not update as much in my spare time as usual. I can affirm there will be no less then one new post each day, so that my mousearm can develop as much as possible!

Balmain doet weer tegendraads en dit keer is Abbey Lee Kershaw de uitverkorene die hun collectie mag showen. Dat gebeurt door een zwart-wit filmpje waarin Abbey met haar bandleden van Our Mountain zowel het acteergedeelte als de muziek verzorgt. Door het hele filmpje heen proef je Londen uit de jaren '60, al zou dat ook het zwart-wit effect kunnen zijn.

Dit is absoluut een klassiekertje. Scott Schuman van The Sartorialist is wereldwijd een begrip. Zijn werkwijze en creatieve gedachten achter de populaire streetstylefoto's worden toegelicht in dit filmpje. Scott wordt gevolgd tijdens een werkdag. Hoe spot hij bijzondere stijlen, waarom framet hij zijn foto's op die manier? De beelden worden bijgestaan door Schumans stem, die in een lange quote zijn leven uitlegt.
This surely is not a brand new video, but it is one I've never posted before. The Legend, with capital L, aka the Sartorialist reveals his way of working in this short vid for the intel campaign A Visual Life. The beautiful shots are accompanied by Scott Schumans voice, telling about his work and life in one large quote.
Deze vond ik ver weggestopt op mijn tumblr. Een tijd geleden was ik al geïnspireerd door de zachte, lente-achtige beelden van Enfant Sauvage. Dit filmpje is gemaakt door Claire Gorman, cinematografe van Liquid Pictures. Deze film draait niet alleen maar om de prachtige shots, maar juist ook om de kleding en sieraden die het model draagt. Want o, wat is die zilveren adelaar om haar hals toch fantastisch! En een indianentooi om af en toe thuis rooksignalen in stijl te versturen is ook nooit weg.
And how about this one? Enfant Sauvage from Claire Gorman, via Oracle Fox. Claire is an Australian cinematographer for Liquid Pictures. But in this film, it isn't all about the great shots. The clothing and especially the jewelry drawn my attention significantly. The silver pieces with the eagles and the feathers in her headdress, wonderful styled.
Rockaway Taco is gemaakt door een andere gevestigde naam in blogparadijs. Todd ken je van The Selby Is In Your Place, een blog vol kijkjes in de meest fantastische interieurs van over de hele wereld. Ongeveer een jaar geleden kwam ook zijn eerste koffietafel boek uit. Dit filmpje laat Todd van een andere kant zien. Hij filmt het reilen en zeilen in een kleine, biologische tacowinkel in zuid New York. De positiviteit die van de werknemers afstraalt en de laidback surferlook maken Rockaway Taco tot een heerlijk nazomerfilmpje voor in je openluchtbioscoop in de achtertuin.
Rockaway Taco, by another hero in the bloggers business: Todd from The Selby Is In Your Place. The Selby became world famous with his blog with photo's from extraordinary interiors. This short film is quite different, Todd follows the biological small tacoshop in a surf sort of style. The shots are laidback and with effect, after seeing this one, I would fly across the world just to eat a taco there in New York.

Jorge Mealha is een held in weglaten. Daar waar wij graag elk hoekje volhangen met een collage, poster of fotolijstje houdt Jorge het clean. Letterlijk. Zijn binnenhuisarchitectuur bestaat uit witte muren, natuurlijke materialen en gigantische ramen, waardoor het licht en de bijbehorende schaduwen het interieur indelen.
Jorge Mealhas biggest talent is the art of omit. We, as decorators, would like to fill every blank space in these houses with paintings, photo's or posters but Jorge is keeping it clean. White walls, natural materials and big windows, wherethrough the light and shadows define the interior.
